Design | Manufacture of furniture

The client found us through 1stDibs, an e-commerce platform in the US where we have our furniture line for sale. At the end of 2019 she came to Mexico and visited our studio; apparently she liked our work because she decided to collaborate with us in the design of various pieces of furniture for her house.

Some were part of our line with slight modifications but others were custom-designed pieces. We invited Martín Salido-Orcillo from Acoocooro to collaborate in the design of some of these unpublished pieces.

 

For the kitchen bar we proposed the Lago counter stool with cushioned backrest covered in leather. For the dining room we designed a table for 12 people made of solid huanacaxaxtle wood with a black granite top, the dining chairs are Lago and are also made with leather back instead of palm weaved as the originals.

One of the pieces that Martin designed was the support table for the kitchen, it is a cart/serving table with black granite top, solid wood body, drawers and storage space. He also designed coffee tables, side tables and the sofas for the main room. The marble used in the coffee tables is called “crema Maya” and comes from the southeast of Mexico, we worked along with an artisan from Merida who handcrafted them.

For the TV area we placed a Fernandez sofa in L shape with leather backrests. For the covered porch we used Citlal armchairs and finally for the wine room we designed a bar height table with geometric bullet-shaped bases in solid huanacaxaxtle wood and Monterrey black marble.
