Residential Project

We are pleased to present our project in Troncones, Guerrero, a peaceful coastal town that, despite its growing tourism, has managed to retain its authenticity and charm. Troncones, located on the Pacific coast, is known for its warm and humid climate, with temperatures ranging between 77 and 86 degrees Fahrenheit for most of the year. The area’s vegetation is predominantly tropical, with an abundance of palm trees, mangroves, and coastal flora. Additionally, the region's economy is primarily driven by tourism and fishing, giving it a relaxed atmosphere.

The project encompassed a wide range of services, from furniture design and FF&E to space styling. Our intervention covered both interior and exterior areas: on the ground floor, we worked on the two guest cottages, their terraces, the living room, the dining room, the main terrace, and the pool area. On the first floor, we took care of the master bedroom, the library room, and the bathrooms, where we designed the lamps and mirrors.

The project development took place in several stages. The design phase took approximately 3 to 4 months, followed by the production and procurement of custom furniture, which lasted 5 to 6 months. During this time, we managed the full selection and reception of accessories and furniture. One of the project’s highlights was the collaboration with various Mexican brands and artisans, such as Taller Nacional, Taller Maya, Daniel Orozco, Itz, Colorindio, Casa Belart, Taller Hormiga, Rufful Studio, Bandido, among others. These partnerships allowed us to incorporate unique, handcrafted elements that showcase the cultural richness and mastery of Mexican craftsmanship.

We designed most of the fixed furniture, such as closets, bookshelves, and beds with headboards. We also incorporated loose furniture pieces, such as dining tables, coffee tables, vanities, and desks, all thoughtfully designed to adapt to the natural flow of the spaces. We carefully analyzed the circulation in each area, which allowed us to propose furniture that was not only functional but also aesthetically integrated with the architecture.

One of the most interesting challenges of the project was finding a balance between the available budget and the size of the space. We opted for a detailed curatorial approach, prioritizing strategic investments to achieve high visual impact without compromising quality. This process allowed us to refine our skills in contract management, logistics, and insurance, while also reinforcing the importance of clear communication and alignment of expectations from the start of the project.

Working in a coastal area also posed a challenge due to the high humidity and salinity of the environment, which can affect common materials. However, we overcame these difficulties by selecting suitable materials and collaborating closely with the local construction team, whose work on finishes and carpentry was impeccable.

Lastly, in terms of furniture, we integrated some of our signature pieces, such as the Lago barstools, Lago chairs, the Colima low chair, the Av. México credenza, and a modified version of the Fernández sofa. These pieces brought cohesion to the design, reflecting our vision of creating functional, beautiful, and timeless spaces.
